YouAskUs.com is headquartered in Toronto, Ontario (Canada). Its principals are veteran, award-winning journalists, broadcasters, college teachers and successful businessmen. Finding and dispensing authoritative information is something we've done for longer than we care to mention. In our spare time, we pay homage to our Canadian roots by playing pick-up hockey. Curiously, we still have most of our teeth.
Paul F. Taylor, President, spent nearly twenty years as a national political reporter in Ottawa for Newsradio Canada and as its General Manager in Toronto. This included widespread travel at home and abroad with Canadian Prime Ministers. It also meant extensive coverage of Canada for CBS Radio News in New York. Mr. Taylor's next 20 years saw him lead a variety of successful entrepreneurial ventures in Toronto, West Vancouver and Whistler, British Columbia. Lessons learned in customer relations are now applied to YouAskUs.com.
Robert W. Payne, Vice President, qualifies as a bona fide "information junkie." For the better part of four decades, his "home away from home" has been the news departments of radio and television stations; as an award-winning newspaper columnist, and as publisher and editor of a widely-distributed magazine on eldercare.
Mr. Payne has also served as Chair of the Ontario Film Review Board, the provincial film and video classification body. His extensive volunteer initiatives include service in a number of community organizations, as well as his current membership on the Board of a Toronto hospital. Mr. Payne also teaches internet research techniques to film and journalism students at Centennial College, Canada's longest-standing community college.
