Am taking supplements that are coated so that they pass through the stomach. Stomach acids destroy the effectiveness. Serrapeptase is an example. The tablets are about the same size as a full strength aspirin (not large) yet I cannot swallow them. I must chew everything in my mouth before swallowing. Feel that this is at least partially psychological. Please tell me how to be able to swallow these tablets.

I have been diagnosed with very high bilirubin (hope the spelling is correct) levels in my urine. Peeing brown is what sent me to my doctor. My doctor did exctensive blood work, and he said since my bilirubin levels in my blood were normal, he was not concerned. I dont feel comfortable leaving this issue unresolved, but he said there was nothing to be concerened about. Since the high bilirubin level is in the urin, I have been extremely tired to the point where I cannot get out of bed some days. My doctor prescribed me Phentermine for this. I also have a  history of several episodes with Epstein Barr Virus. I don't think I have EBV at this point; my lymph nodes are not swollen or sore.

Need to know test for determination if a specific 'pimple' near lip is herpes 1 outbreak or not. I already know that I have herpes 1. So do not want another test to determine that. Need a test to determine if a specific thing that 'looks like it could be' herpes 1 is that or something else. Seems like it would have to involve a swab and maybe culture. Not a blood test. Need to have reference to specific web page(s). Need to be specific name of test that i can tell doctor "I want XXXX lab test." If find specific information that such an outbreak-identification test does not exist, that would resolve the matter. But i cannot believe that such a test does not exist. IF you can't answer the question but know of medical-research sites that would be able to answer the question for a fee, that would also satisfy me.

My question on testing specific lesions for HSV 1 was just answered satisfactorily by you. I am happy with the answer. I would like additional information. For the tests of specific lesions to determine if HSV 1 or not, I would like additional information that I could fax or email to my GP-doctor, so i could ask him for those tests specifically. I am happy with the answer to my previous question. And now want something at more medical-professional level so doctor will be comfortable drawing up lab orders for these tests. Perhaps material from lab sites -- Unilab is the one he sends me to. Or from sites that are primarily for medical personnel. Would like something for my doctor/GP for each of the two tests mentioned in the response to first question.

What causes a sudden urgency to urinate everytime while running, which leads to accidents because you can't control your bladder movement. Bbecause of this I avoid running as much a possible, but with my job i have to do it all the time? What can i do to treat it ?

I'm a 54 year old veteran. In 1998 I was diagnosed with chronic grade III AC separation of the left shoulder, with impingement syndrome, and severe post traumatic (trauma induced) osteoarthritis. The original injury occurred in 1972. In 1997 & 1998 I had both hips totally replaced due to Osteoarthritis. I am trying to link all the OA together as service connected. My question is if you have OA in the shoulder, can it spread to other locations in the body( L/shoulder to neck-down the spine-thru the lower back and to the hips) ? Yes I have OA in all the areas mentioned. If you could provide me with any information and references to search I would greatly appreciate it. I have one opinion that it will spread. Can you furnish any supporting documents?

I'm 32 years of age. For the past three weeks, I've had trouble emptying my bladder, mainly at night. I'll wake up in the middle of the night with a full bladder. I'll get up, go to the restroom and proceed to urintate. Sometimes, however, even after 15 minutes, I'm not able to urinate. Then, it comes to a point where I don't need to go at all. Now, my question is, where does the urine go? I know it must go somewhere. I know something doesn't feel right in the bladder/kidney area. This has never happened in my life prior to the last three weeks. My main concern, of course, is for my kidneys.

What does it mean if my child is constantly blowing on herself? If anything touches her on her arm for example, she will wipe it off with her other hand and blow on it. She is 4 yrs old. Now it happens ALL the time. She even rubs her feet on the carpet and blows on her feet afterwards. She will even do it when she's watching TV, she will just rub her arm, or leg, then blow on her hand, for no reason. Why?

14 years ago I did a blood test and they found that I have Hepatitis B, they told me that the virus is in my blood, but not active (sleeping). My liver is good. I did a test again last year and of course I still have the virus and the liver is intact. My wife (married for 12 years) and my kids they are not infected at all. My questions: 1) What does this mean? I read a lot about Hepatitis B but never so inactive word. 2) What are my chances for the virus to start attacking my liver? 3) How often do I need to repeat the vaccine for my wife and kids? 4) Are there ways to clean the virus from my blood?

My wife has for the last few months complained of a dull ache in her vagina, this lately has led to some discharge (light) she did have an historectomy about 15 years ago. She is now aged late 56, over the last few days she has been in pain if she sits down and there fore has to lie on her side, or back. Tonight she felt inside her self and discovered a lump, on checking this out at her request I found that her rectum passage had what appeared to be a lump of about 3/4" about one inch long and a smaller size either side which was pressing on the inside vaginal cavity agacent to her back passage, is this serious. or would drugs cure the problem, she does not have any pains when moving stools.

I hope to get some answers; I am aware that you are not doctors, I just need guidance. I made an appointment with my doctor and he said there is nothing wrong with me. He suggested I see an ear,nose specialist. I think he is guessing; he cant understand my sympthoms. I am experiencing a kind of throubing at the back of my head; it is a throbbing in two sequences - it lasts less than half  a second and comes with a strange sensation , feeling weak and sometimes desorientated.  Also, if I bend my head backwards it produces a sound like aluminiun foil is being crushed but gently, this sensation at the back of my neck happens and increases when i have this throbbing, it's hard to explain, but it happens. Also I must say I have had quite a few herpes around my mouth,  they come one after another; also my tongue gets thicker around the ends...as you can imagine I cant explain what is happening since my doctor is unable to guide me in the right direction. Also it feels like I am going to faint, that is how it feels for less than a second, also it hurts slightly if I touch inside of my ear and around the begining of my jaw. I am falling too. I wonder if it could be a tumour, or be related to my eyes since I have been losing strength on my eyes, I am quite young to lose so much vision, the sound of throbbing happens sometimes when i blink, I am really worried. Strange enough I have just started studying the brain. I get irritable and my sense of direction gets unbalanced when that throbbing happens.

I have yellow "sacs" in my feces that look like corn, but they aren't. I have noticed it for a long time and made sure I wasn't eating any corn for a week. They are still there. Not to be gross, but I squashed one to see what it was and it has the consistency of cookie dough, so it's definitely not corn. HELP????

My 85yr old mother has had a buzzing in her head for about two months. She has low blood count - at one point it was only 9, now it is back up 2 points. She has had mri,mra,ct scan,all kinds of blood tests. They can't find anything wrong. Her Dr. gave her some antibotics thinking that maybe she might have a sinsus infection.
